Ras Tanura Generator No. 7, the newest and largest gas turbine generator in the Aramco system, was turned over to Operations early this month. The unit was built by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries in Takasago, Japan, and was erected by Industrial Contractors of al-Khobar under the direction of Mitsubishi personnel.
The project was supervised by the Ras Tanura Construction Division engineer W.T. Ashe.
Rated at 27,000 kilowatts, the new unit is the first of 11 scheduled for installation through 1974.
