Libby and Norm Murrell retired in 1986 after working for Aramco for 22 years. Norm came to Arabia as a teacher; after eight years of teaching, he transferred to Personnel.
"We have traveled the world with our two children visiting more than 50 countries. Now we are settled in Mariposa, California to run our Bed and Breakfast and meet people from around the world."
Libby is a fourth generation Californian. Her pioneer ancestors came to California in covered wagons and around the horn. I moved to Bakersfield from Sacramento where we met.
The Sierra House Bed and Breakfast is nestled in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, convenient to Yosemite National Park. Our B and B has three luxury rooms with private baths. Each room is individually appointed for your comfort and contains treasures from our personal travels and antiques from our pioneer California family.
A gourmet breakfast is served by Norm and cooked by Libby. Sierra House Bed and Breakfast was on the "Friends of the Library" Christmas Home Tour in 1996, Yosemite-Mariposa B and B Home Tour in 2001 and has been mentioned in the Sacramento Bee, Fresno Bee and the Al-Ayyam Al-Jamilah Magazine.
