Annual event will feature workshops, screenings, seminars, and more.
The Saudi Film Festival, now in its ninth edition, will be held May 4-11 at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran.
The festival is one of the most prominent annual initiatives held by the Cinema Association in partnership with Ithra and supported by the Film Commission.
This year’s edition includes films and script contests as the festival constantly expands its structure and its awards. The Saudi Film Festival is also expanding its film program to include a broader range of local and international films.
The festival continues to provide a slate of enriching and industry-growing cultural programs, including seminars and advanced workshops.
In addition to providing a platform for production companies for producers and filmmakers to bring their projects in the production market, the festival also translates and publishes a collection of books to continue the festival’s mission to enrich the Arabic library especially in the knowledge field of film and cinema production.
