I, Mohammed Ifteqaruddin Badge #140948, Technical Advisor Mechanical Services, Ras Tanura Refinery Maintenance Department, based on the following invitation, attended the Visakhapatnam Port Authority (VPA) Trade Meet in Association with the Federation of Telangana Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI). I am a member of it (FTCCI).
The Trade Meet took place on Friday, February 23, 2024, at Radisson Blue Plaza Hotel, Hyderabad, India.
The Visakhapatnam (Vizag) Port is located at the East coast of India.
At the entrance of the venue, a welcoming board guided us to follow the event Hall:
The Hall was full of participants and the event organizers helping the guest to find the seat.
The following poster is self-explanatory stating that the port was established in the year 1923 and gave 90 years of glorious service to the nation as of the year 2023.
The port is used to import and export different products including Crude Tankers from Saudi Aramco.
Plans are in the pipeline to open the Vizag International Cruise Terminal and the Cruise Vessel which can carry up to 2,500 passengers. I strongly believe and hope Aramco ExPats readers will travel to this region by Cruise. I welcome them in advance.
The two-hour session was very informative and it was addressed by the subject matter experts, giving micro-details and emphasizing to use the port up to its maximum capacity, followed by a Q & A session and a delicious dinner.
A heart-touching moment was when the Director and the Traffic Manager of the VPA gave an open invitation to all interested citizens to visit the port and take a tour of the facilities by using the following information.
- Web: www.vizagport.com
- Email: e-reg.vpt@gov.in
- Tel: 91-891-2876000
The session concluded with a vote of thanks and the National Anthem.
The green Chilies and the Crispy Crunchy Papad were an attraction for me in the Dinner Salad.
