Third generation Aramco brat Cem Karan received his PhD from the University of Pennsylvania in Computer Sciences this month. His proud parents, Aramco retiree Ned and Carole Karan, and Cem's also-proud wife were able to watch and listen to his defense of his thesis on robotics on Zoom video. Cem continues his work at a research lab in Washington DC. His father hopes now that his son is a "doctor" he can get good advice on how to cure his back pain every time he does heavy yard work.
