EXPEC ARC chief technologies earns Society of Petroleum Engineer’s international Distinguished Service Award.
Aramco’s Ghaithan A. Al-Muntasheri (left) received an SPE Distinguished Service Award for his exceptional contributions to SPE from SPE 2022 president Kamel Ben-Naceur during the Annual Reception and Awards Banquet.
Ghaithan A. Al-Muntasheri, chief technologist, EXPEC ARC, was recognized with an SPE Distinguished Service Award for his devotion and contributions to the organization.
His service to SPE includes chairman of SPE’s Saudi Arabia Section as well as chairman for its Annual Technical Symposium. His assignments in Aramco included director of the Aramco Americas R&D program where he led an impressive team of researchers and scientists based in Houston, Detroit, and Boston.
While in the U.S., Al-Muntasheri taught as an adjunct associate professor at Rice University. He has published more than 100 papers in peer-reviewed journals, provided keynotes at international conferences, and has received more than a dozen regional and internationally recognized awards for his work. Al-Muntasheri now becomes an SPE distinguished member.
