The daylong event, organized by the Ras Tanura Producing Department, featured a wide array of exhibits and informational sessions.
Jubail Orphans Society students listen to a presentation at the King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture. The students were hosted by the Ras Tanura Producing Department as an opportunity for them to learn and experience a variety of dynamic learning opportunities.
Every child deserves the opportunity to explore and learn. In accordance with the company value of citizenship, Ras Tanura Area Producing recently sponsored an educational program for Jubail Orphans Society students to King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) in Dhahran.
The program included a visit to Ithra for a full day of learning and horizon-broadening experiences. The visit was not only educational but also fun as they explored new places and met people from different backgrounds.
The program featured tours of the Energy Exhibition, Ithra Library, Ithra Tower, and the Museum. The tour started at Hijrah exhibition, which sheds light on the Hijrah of our Prophet Mohammad (PBUH) from Makkah to Madinah
Moreover, the team visited Ithra Library, which is a haven for readers, learners, and lovers of books and knowledge. It is one of the largest public libraries in the region, offering more than 315,000 books and a dynamic location to foster individual and collaborative learning while nurturing a love of reading, discover,y and the pursuit of knowledge.
After that, the team visited PiCon, where they participated in the annunal cars league, a science event that is part of Ithra’s Energy Exhibit programs celebrating scientific exploration opportunities such as exhibits, immersive experiences, talks, discussion sessions, and programs that engage families, young adults, and science lovers.
The tour ended with at the Energy Exhibit, where the orphans got an overview of Aramco history, as well as how the oil is produced and processed. The Energy Exhibit shares the journey behind oil extraction and energy resources by showcasing Aramco’s story.
Finally, trip souvenir and gifts were distributed among all visitors.
This visit was part of Ras Tanura Producing Department’s continuous efforts to promote corporate social responsibility and community outreach. Thanks to Ithra and all involved organizations who supported and participated to make this a successful event.
