The following report was written by Zoya Imran, granddaughter of Saudi Aramco Ex-Employee Engr. Iqbal Ahmed Khan of Karachi, Pakistan.
For this year’s school field trip, our school decided to take our batch to the “Oceanic Cruise”, located near I.I Chandigarh Road in Karachi and takes you into the deep sea Kamari till Menorah Island.
Saying it was a fun experience would truly be an understatement. We reached our school campus by 9 and mingled with our friends until the assembly at 9:45 where all the students had to gather for a head count. After that, we made our way to the huge buses awaiting us outside, one for the girls and one for the boys. As always, we spent our time in the bus screaming songs at the top of our lungs and jumping like maniacs.

Everyone is enjoying their time and having fun.
All the students admiring the view.
On the bus, we were greeted with a lovely breakfast box, consisting of a mini chicken pie, mini pizza, club sandwich and juice. After about 30 minutes, we reached the Kamari Port Karachi, and were led to our cruise. It was a quite big yacht with two decks and multiple spaces for seating. While the girls went on the lower deck, the boys were moved to the upper deck.

The cruise had a top-notch and high quality sound system and we made full use of that and played songs to the fullest. We were singing along, enjoying the beautiful view and it was amazing. Although, the sun was a little bright during lunch, it got pleasant after a while and we could take in the gorgeous scenery, the seagulls, the views of the island, small boats and ships in the deep sea and the shining sea. There was even a live fishing activity planned which was enjoyed by many students.
Biryani was served for lunch.

For refreshments, we were served with warm tea. While everyone was busy reliving the iconic Titanic pose and taking lots of pictures, we were served delicious biryani and raita for lunch along with cold-drinks. After gobbling up our lunch we were out and about, sight-seeing, enjoying our dessert (Kulfi) and capturing these precious moments.

After about an hour, we exchanged places on the deck and the girls were shifted to the upper deck which had an even more excellent view of the sea. We turned the upper deck into a dance floor and danced and sang our hearts out to the fullest. This was truly a life-time experience, singing and enjoying with your friends like there was no tomorrow. Finally as the trip came to an end around 3:00 PM, we made our way back to the buses and onto our campus again.

As the sun sets on our incredible cruise adventure, the memories we've created together will forever be etched in the tapestry of our friendship. From the breathtaking views of the open sea to the laughter-filled conversations, this journey has been a testament to the beauty of life and the joy that comes from sharing special moments with cherished friends.
