After breakfast at the hotel explore the beautiful city of Casablanca which visibly demonstrates its heritage along the wide palm planted boulevards and winding Medina alleyways. After breakfast we explore many historic monuments of the Moroccan capital city and the beautiful Kasbah of Oudaya overlooking the Atlantic and the Bouragrag River. We wander through the Phoenician city of Sale and return to the National Moroccan Museum for a curated tour of the museum. In late afternoon we travel north to Tangier with its unique setting on the Mediterranean Sea at the Straits of Gibraltar After an evening wander through the Medina we have dinner in a local restaurant and overnight. After breakfast we visit the amazing Caves of Hercules and spend time enjoying the unique atmosphere in this special place. The Caves of Hercules is an archaeological cave complex located in Cape Spartel, Morocco.
We return to Tangier for a visit to the American Legation. The old American Legation, the only US National Historic Landmark located in a foreign country, is now home to the Tangier American Legation Institute for Moroccan Studies (TALIM).
A vibrant center of activity in Tangier’s old Medina, the Legation houses a museum, research library, and cultural center.
In the bustling medina we pass Grand Sacco and Petite Sacco with many boutique hotels and Riads, once home to intellectuals and artists including Matisse, Saint Saens, Paul Bowles and William Burroughs In the late afternoon we continue our journey to Chefchouen. (breakfast)
Visit the spectacular Akchour waterfalls to enjoy nature at her best. Special areas of the nature reserve are the Waterfalls and God’s Bridge. Enjoy a picnic lunch with nature as our host. Explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Volubilis best preserved Roman ruins in North Africa. Continue to Meknes to Bab Mansour Gate built by Sultan Moulay Ismail in the 18 th century.
