General Introduction

Collège du Léman is an international college preparatory school located in Geneva, Switzerland and offers individual growth, academic excellence and life-long learning to students from Pre-K through Grade 12.

Collège du Léman

Collège du Léman is committed not only to excellence in education but also to stimulating enthusiasm for lifelong learning and intellectual growth. We open our doors to students who may benefit from our multicultural learning environment. We nurture a sense of social responsibility and respect for others so that our students are well-prepared to become respected world citizens.

In this spirit, we endeavour to add value to our teaching through its diversity. The knowledge students gain must be applicable across cultures and be supported by qualifications recognised worldwide. We value each student's individuality as well as his or her integration into society.

Our programme of studies prepares our students for the demands of the 21st century.

A Home Away From Home...

Collège du Léman provides a caring environment with a strong family spirit. Our house parents make students feel safe and at home. Boarders are assigned to one of 10 boarding houses according to their age and sex. Two or three students of different nationalities share a room, allowing them to share a multi-cultural experience.

The boarding staff looks forward to getting to know each boarder and helping make his or her time at Collège du Léman truly productive and happy. Boarders at Collège du Léman join a new home with a strong family spirit. They enjoy plenty of time for work, fun, talking to staff and friends, and, importantly, enough time for rest and relaxation.

"The more you put into life, the more you will get out of it."

  • Students choose to board at Collège du Léman not just to eat and sleep in our residences, but to participate in an educational experience beyond the classroom - an experience that will impact the rest of their lives. Many successful people - in business, politics, the creative arts, diplomacy and the media - have learned about teamwork and leadership, working with and accepting the ideas of others, caring for the environment, and internationalism in its broadest sense through their experiences in boarding environments.
  • Successful completion of studies will undoubtedly be boarding students' foremost objective, but we also know strong involvement in the school community helps boarders improve both their social skills and emotional development. Along with positive parental involvement in a child's education, social skills and emotional development are among the strongest predictors of students' future achievement.
