Keith Sims
Keith Sims passed away peacefully on Nov. 19, 2022, at his home in Georgetown, TX.
Born in Pickford, Michigan on April 26, 1934, he grew up on a farm which instilled a hard work ethic, a desire to become a mechanical engineer and an even stronger desire to chart his course away from the farm. After becoming an ME, he secured a job in 1966 with Aramco in RasTanura, Saudi Arabia where he enjoyed a long career and eventually became Manager, Northern Area Producing Maintenance - a job he loved immensely. In RT, he enjoyed many friendships, participated in a theatrical event or two, played golf, and traveled. He also had great pride in his “brown” (bourbon) that he claimed was barrel-aged to perfection!
Keith and his wife, Coila, retired to Austin, TX initially and subsequently Georgetown, TX where he pursued his passions of singing in the choir, golfing and traveling. Keith and Coila recently celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary.
Keith is survived by Coila, his daughter Shelly Foland and his son-in-law, Bill Foland.
