John A. Houston

John Houston passed away peacefully on Friday, October 22, 2021. John was born in Richmond, Indiana. He lived and attended school in\near New Paris, Ohio. He received his Bachelor of Science degree from Miami University, Oxford, Ohio, in 1970. Other degrees were CPA and MBA. His parents, Doris and John H. Houston, siblings Sally and Jim were very proud of him. He was employed by Dana Corporation in Ohio. He was assigned as Corporate Controller to Stuttgart, Germany for three years. While in Germany, he met and married Marjorie, his wife of 45 years. They returned to San Jose, and later, while employed with ARAMCO, they lived and worked in Saudi Arabia. They returned to San Jose where John held several positions with the Hi Tech industry.

Marj and John loved to travel. Their passports are filled with stamps and memories from around the world. John expressed his spiritual nature at the Center for Spiritual Living, San Jose. The Center was very supportive during his illness. Hospice took good care of John, at home, for his last four months of life. His wife and cat, Saki, were with him until his final moments.

John is survived by his wife, Marjorie, by cousins and relatives in San Jose, his sister Sally, and other relatives in Ohio, Indiana, Tennessee, Arkansas, Texas and Florida. John will be remembered lovingly for his intelligence, humor, generosity and loving spirit.

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time. Donations can be made in John's name to: Center for Spiritual Living, San Jose, California. The Cat Hospital, Campbell, California.
