David William Christensen
David William Christensen 79 of Salisbury, died Tuesday, May 31st, 2016 at Coastal Hospice at the Lake.
He was the son of the late Chris and Willma Hallowell Christensen.
Mr. Christensen was born in San Francisco, CA but spent much of his childhood in Saudi Arabia. His undergraduate years were spent at Massachusetts Institute of Technology and the University of California, Santa Barbara. He received his MBA from the American Graduate School of International Management.
He worked for Bechtel for many years in San Francisco. He continued his career with the Aramco Oil Company in Saudi Arabia. He retired in 1998 to Augusta, GA and in 2005 he moved to Salisbury. He was an avid photographer and enjoyed sailing and traveling the world with his family.
He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Felicity Ann Christensen; children, Paul Christensen and wife, Danielle and Karen Thickman and husband, Michael; grandchildren: Spencer Hall, Lindsay Hall, Jennifer Thickman, Kurt Thickman, Hannah Christensen and Michael Christensen; brothers, James Christensen and Paul Christensen and several nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held Friday, June 3rd, 2016 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Holloway Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
