Darrell B. Eastman
Sun and Flare regrets to announce the death of Darrell B. Eastman, superintendent of Transportation in Abqaiq. Mr. Eastman died of heart disease last Friday at the age of 53.
Mr. Eastman came to Saudi Arabia from his home in San Anselmo, Calif., in July, 1944, with IBBI. He transferred to Aramco in Dhahran in 1947, and his wife joined him here in 1948. In August, 1950, he became superintendent of Transportation, a position he held until his death.
Mr. Eastman is survived by his widow, Mrs. Betty Eastman, Abqaiq, and a son, Darrell Charles Eastman of San Anselmo. Another son, Kenneth M. Eastman, died last December in California.
