The Canberra served in the Atlantic fleet during the Cuban Crisis and later served a Vietnam War deployment within the Pacific fleet. He was employed by the New York Port Authority and Florida Power & Light before joining Saudi Aramco in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in 1975 as a Planning Engineer. Later, he transferred to the Project Management organization where he served on various design and construction teams in Ras Tanura, Abqaiq, Holland, Kansas City, Calgary, and San Francisco. His passion was helping less advantaged people via volunteer services to Homeless and Food Distribution Centers. For the past several years, he and Susan have renovated a house and run a vacation school for disadvantaged children in Belize where they resided during school vacations.
