The Aramco Annuitant's Reunion was held from August 31 - September 2 in San Diego, California. California Days – Arabian Nights was attended by approximately 650 ExPats.
Guest speakers, including Abdulaziz Al-Khayyal, Senior Vice President for International Operations, spoke on US - Saudi Arabia Relations. Saudi Aramco through ASC did an excellent job of making the annuitants feel appreciated and a part of what was accomplished in Arabia. ASC President and CEO Ahmed Al-Arnaout and several other representatives were there the entire weekend. There was an appeal from all of the speakers for the annuitants to tell people we deal with stateside what the relationships between our countries were like in order to counteract the negative press.
Annuitants Pam and Charlie BurnsThe weekend was spent visiting "old" friends, playing golf and tennis in organized tournaments.
Everyone agreed that the co-organizers of the reunion, Barbara Predmore and Curtis Hillman Wideman, did a wonderful job. The next annuitant reunion will be held in 2004.
