My son Zubair planned to take us to the Riverdale Farm in Toronto, located right at the centre of downtown Toronto, Canada.
A city within a park, the Riverdale Farm entrance is marked by a bright signboard welcoming visitors.
My grandchildren Hamza and Huzaifa were excited and happy to visit the farm and were looking forward to seeing and playing with farm animals.
As it’s a big farm, they occasionally sat on the beautiful red chairs provided to refresh and relax before moving on.
They collected the dry fruits that were lying on the ground after falling off from trees, counting them.
There were a number of handwritten boards that were provided to tell more about the farm and its operating schedule.
The following beautifully written engraved stone attracted me, it gives the soul of the farm which was once a Zoo, it tells the visitors the history and dedication of people to pass it on to the current generation.
The Riverdale Farm has lots of trees and vegetation. The Trails offer a nice opportunity to walk around the facility and listen to the birds. This marvellous unit is spread over 7.5 Acres of land. There are cows, horses, sheep, goats, pigs and chickens as well.
It’s a great fun place to take kids. It has a familiar farm smell. Kids love animals and enjoy imitating the sounds they make. This place is full of fun and education for children.
At the entrance, bicycle posts have been provided to keep the bicycles locked safely.
“The love for all creatures is the most noble attribute of man.”
I suggest the Aramco Expats readers visit the Riverdale Farm whenever they visit Toronto.
